Diploma in Pharmacy(D.Pharm)

Duration : 2 Years
 
Eligibility : i) Pass in PUC/PDC/10+2/ Intermediate with PCB/PCM/PCMB.
ii) Pass in Vocational higher secondary with PCM/PCB (Kerala).
iii) Pass in senior Secondary school Exam with PCM/PCB of National Open School, New Delhi .
 
Practical Training :

The successfully completion of 2nd year every candidate shall undergo practical training in approved Hospital, dispensaries for aperiod of five hundred hours spread over a period of not less than three months, provided that not less than two hundred and fifty hours are devoted to actual dispensing of prescriptions.

B.Pharm

B.Pharm  Direct B.Pharm
Duration : 4 Years 3 Years
 

Eligibility :
  1. Pass in PUC/PDC/10+2/ Intermediate with PCB/PCM/PCMB.
  2. Pass in Vocational higher secondary with PCM/PCB (Kerala).

Pass in D.Pharm( ER-91 ) with 50% of marks (For SC/ST 40%).

 
Practical Training :

Every candidate shall undergo practical training in Pharmaceutical manufacturing house/approved hospital/CSIR research labs for a period of not less than one hundred and fifty hours to be covered in not less than 45 days, after completing III B.Pharm or IV B.Pharm course. Candidate should submit two copies of the training report duly certified by the authorities of the training center in which he/she has undergone training.

M.Pharm

Duration : 2 Years

Eligibility :
  1. Pass in B Pharm with aggregate of 55 % Marks (For SC/ST/Category-I 50%).
  2. Pharmacy teachers having recognized B. Pharm qualification and with minimum of five years of teaching experience in an institution approved by AICTE and PCI will be eligible, provided they have scored not less than 50% marks.
M.Parm Part I :

A candidate who secures 50% of marks in each subject in theory and practical separately including sessional and university examination marks together shall be declared to have pass in M.Pharm Part-I examination, provided the candidate secures a minimum of 40% marks (excluding sessionals) in theory and practical separately. Candidate, who fails in theory or practical exam in a subject, shall appear for both theory and practical in the subsequent examination in that subject. Those candidates who fail in one or more subjects shall have to appear only in the subjects so fail, in the subsequent examinations.

M.Parm Part II :
Dissertation :

i) Every candidate pursuing M. Pharm course is required to carry out work on a selected research project under the guidance of a recognized postgraduate teacher. The results of such a work shall be submitted in the form of a dissertation.
ii) The dissertation is aimed to train a postgraduate student in research methods and techniques. It includes identification of the problem, formulation of a hypothesis, review of literature, getting acquainted with recent advances, designing of a research study, collection of data, critical analysis, and comparison of results and drawing conclusions.

Submission of Dissertation:

Three copies of the dissertation duly certified by the Guide, Head of the Department and the Principal shall be submitted to the Registrar, Evaluation, RGUHS, through the Principal one months before the final examination notified by RGUHS.

Viva-Voce Examination:

The Viva-Voce examination shall aim at assessing the depth of knowledge, logical reasoning, confidence and oral communication skills. The Viva-Voce examination shall be held after the submission of dissertation. If any candidate fails to submit the dissertation on or before the date prescribed, his / her Viva-Voce shall be conducted during the subsequent examination which shall not be earlier than six months from the date fixed in the first instance.

Pharm.D

Duration : 6 Years (Five years of study + one year of internship)
 
Eligibility :
  1. Pass in PUC/PDC/10+2/ Intermediate with PCB/PCM/PCMB.
  2. 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects in Mathematics or Biology.
  3. Pass in D. Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
